Please follow this page to stay up to date on camp information.
Camp is located at MoMath (11 E 26th St). Doors open at 9 am and dismissal is at 3 pm, with extended day options until 4 pm or 5 pm.
Late pick-up options are available for an additional fee, and must be purchased in advance of the first day of camp at summercamp.momath.org.
Late Pick-Up – 4:00 PM, Mon-Fri: 3 pm to 4 pm, $150
Late Pick-Up – 5:00 PM, Mon-Fri: 3 pm to 5 pm, $300
For the first day of camp, please remember to do the following:
1. Bring a packed lunch and optional snack (Transformations is a nut-free environment; please do not bring lunch or snacks containing tree nuts or peanuts to camp)
2. Wear closed-toe shoes
3. Bring or put on sunscreen as needed
Please also verbally alert the counselors to any allergies.
All campers must wear closed-toe shoes to participate in camp activities; summer shoes such as Crocs, Tevas, or Keens are acceptable so long as the toes are protected. Weather permitting, campers will spend time outside during lunch, so please arrive at camp wearing sunscreen as needed.
The Museum doors will open at 9 am for children and their adult chaperones to enter the Museum. We ask that you do not leave your child alone on the sidewalk or drop off at the curb as New York City can be an unpredictable place. Adults will need to sign in their child. If your child is in middle school, please see below for a dismissal waiver to allow your child to commute to/from camp on their own without an adult chaperone.
Children will be brought to the lobby at their appropriate time for pick-up; we ask that you wait there for your child or check in with the security guard if you wish to pick up your child before regular dismissal.
Changes to Pick-Up
Is your camper going home with another camper for a playdate? Will someone not listed on the Authorized Pick-Up List be picking up your child? Please notify firstname.lastname@example.org of any changes to the pick-up. For security purposes, we prefer to receive changes in writing. However, if you are running late or have last-minute changes to the pick-up, please email email@example.com AND call (212) 542-0566.
Late Fees for Tardy Pick-Ups
Any individuals who are late for pick-up will be responsible for late fees, starting at $50 for every half hour or portion thereof, payable immediately by that person. Please make sure that caregivers are aware of the late fees and are equipped to pay these fees on your behalf.
Should you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. If the matter is urgent or you are running late, please call the MoMath office during camp hours (9 am to 5 pm) at (212) 542-0566. To register for additional weeks, please visit summercamp.momath.org.
Dismissal Release Waiver
Is your middle schooler traveling on his or her own to/from camp? Most children are expected to arrive with and be picked up by an authorized adult chaperone. If your child is: (1) in middle school; and, (2) has your permission to travel to and depart from the summer program on his or her own, you will need to complete the Dismissal Release Waiver and email it to email@example.com.
Camp Policies and Forms
Please be sure to review the Camp Policies and Photograph Permission and Release Forms, which were agreed to during the registration process.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How is Transformations unlike any other “math camp” program? Why do Transformations camp sessions consistently sell out? This year, the FAQs reveal (almost) everything you need to know. Find answers to your burning questions here, and learn what makes MoMath’s high-quality summer camp uniquely fun and inspiring!
Unique to Camp at MoMath
We follow a couple traditions in Transformations.
Camp Family & Friends Free Play Afternoons: On the Thursday of your camper’s registered session, starting at 3 pm, each camper and their family members and friends may enter the Museum with complimentary admission. There are no student demonstrations or scheduled activities. RSVP is required by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with the names and email addresses of all attendees (please provide the affiliated camper’s name). The deadline is noon each Thursday. For security purposes, last-minute walk-ins will not be permitted.
Pizza (and Ices) Fridays: While campers do need to pack their lunches on Mondays through Thursdays, bringing a lunch on Fridays is optional as we do offer a pizza lunch on Fridays. During weeks featuring someone’s birthday, ices or some other type of treat will also be offered during lunch on Fridays. Parents will not be allowed to attend, nor may campers bring treats from home. Rest assured that this celebration is done with as much consideration of food allergies as possible.
Alumni Campers, Junior Counselors: Former campers who are no longer eligible to attend as a camper may apply to volunteer in the program as a Junior Counselor. To do so, please email email@example.com to express your interest. Junior Counselors will be expected to serve as positive role models and to assist educators and camp counselors with classroom and non-classroom activities.
We look forward to seeing you at camp soon!
